Do you lose your gaming reputation points if you have to send your HD with it? Or just the game saves.

I'm thinking of getting a Memory card just in case. Would hate to put the hours back into getting my cars back on pgr

Your gamertag is logged, so just retrieve it and it should all come back.

I think I will pick up a mem card next time i'm in town. You cant use a usb memory stick can you? Suppose that would be too easy, so you can't?

no and my advice would be if your worried about it dyeing is use the memcard as your main save rarther then a backup as not all games allow save games to be transfered (i lost all my DOA4 save data when i sold my core+mem card

can u not just keep the hdd? because im pretty sure uinder the digital information consumers act the saves can be considered personal property.

couldnt they use the removal of the HDD as a modification of some sort though as they come pre-attached to the premium setups?

Seems a bit odd that they wont let you keep it TBH. It doesnt affect their ability to repair it as they don't need them with the core package even if you bought one afterwards.
