Yep... all done (almost) just needs a couple of things for MOT and shes done :D

Last week when i had my tyres fitted i asked the mechanice reasons for why my ABS light was on, he said it was either sensors, or a brake light bulb gone..

...brake light bulb? yeah, right!

So today reversing the car up the drive, Kev (Another Astra Chappie) said "your tail lights out mate" so i changed it there and then, and light didnt go off.

Crap. New sensors then.

Later on i started the car up, and now the ABS light has gone completely!

Result.

Small numberplate is going for a standard one, i thought it would look pretty good, which in fairness, it doesnt look *that* bad, but very illegal.

What my house looked like today...

When the rear was having the springs fitted...

 What do your rents say about all the cars?

Only live with my mum, she went out when just the 1 car was there (middle one) and didnt come back until they had all gone, that pic didn't *quote* get all the cars in...

Can i just ask why people block out their number plates? Is their a specific reason?

Apparantly to stop people going on, coyping the plates and stealing cars etc with your plates on.

Never happened to me but its a force of habit now :)

take the bulb out just in case it decides to come on again half way through the test.

better to be safe than mot-less

edit:dash bulb that is

I wouldn't do that its a failiure, the tester can still see the vehicle has a.b.s fitted and as such the light would not be following the correct operation i.e not coming on and have you for it!

Apparantly (according to the mechanic) because a bulb was out, it broke the circuit, hence the light coming on.

Its off now when it normally would be on, so i'm guessing its cured!

Nice one :D Reminds me of the scene when we did an engine swap on my brothers E30 on the drive.

Good to see its coming along. I actually liked the look of your previous one, even though it got a lot of slagging of. I thought you kept it nice and clean, looked like a straight car. Will be nice to see what you do with this one.
