My current pc I built 5 or 6 years ago and has served me well but its time had come, so went Black Friday mad and bought a new pre-built based on Intel Core I5 12600K (Alder Lake) and a RTX 3060 Ti GPU.

It will be used mostly for office work during the day but the real reason I convinced myself I needed a new pc is that I wanted to get back into gaming in the evenings. Not sure what exactly as things have moved on considerably but I imagine a mix of FPS and some of the more immersive stuff, Assasins Creed Valhalla probably.

I need a monitor recommendation. I've been using 2 x 23" monitors which have worked well for productivity stuff but I want a monitor which will do my new hardware justice.

I think I want to try a 34" widescreen but will the 3060 ti be able to cope??

I've read good reviews on

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/iiya...esync-ultrawide-gaming-monitor-mo-13j-iy.html

If the GPU is going to struggle I'm happy to try a pair of 27" (just buying one initially).

Budget is around 400 as I've spent too much already.

Not sure what resolutions I'll play at, as honestly, I'm so far out of the loop I'm not sure what I can get away with.

Any ideas to get me going?

p.s. Sorry for being so vague
p.p.s. I hope to upgrade the GPU if things ever settle down a bit

The rtx 3060 ti is more than capable playing @1440p...not sure about ultrawide screens though as never used one..i game at 1440p just fine at the moment and im on a 2070, the 3060 performs better than my card

3060ti will have no problems at 1440.
I bought the curved version of that Iiyama about a year ago and I've been pretty happy with it.
Does take a little time to get used to the size though, but I doubt I'd ever go back to anything smaller now.
