So i've just installed Assassins Creed 1 after playing Syndicate

and so far I'm having problems with the graphics only displaying in what you call " wire frame mode " I guess, when I go into eagle vision and back again it sorts it out for a few seconds then I have to eagle vision again...and repeat.

I've looked for a patch but I haven't found anything, Can anyone help?

Was this installed through Steam, uPlay or from a disk?

If it is Steam or uPlay, try verifying game cache.

Maybe try changing some of the graphics settings like AA or AF to see if it something with that doing it.

Also, if you have any AA set in the Nvidia control panel, turn them all off.

AA messes it up should be fine without any AA applied.

Remove AA, run the game at double your native res. Problem solved.

How does it fair against Syndicate so far? I've wanted to delve back into it my self simply to enjoy it as a game. Unlike the bloated current ones.

Well I've turned off AA and reduced ingame settings and it's still the same, I can't run the game at double native res can I?

Don't know how the game is so far as I can't play it yet

You can do it via the Geforce drivers I think Nvidia calls it DSR (something super resolution) which micks running a game at a higher resolution then you monitor is cable of.

Well I've tried all that, still the same. All that DSR changed was that I wasn't able to Alt Tab out of the game.

I think there may be two executables, a DX9 one and a DX10 one. Try launching with the other one to see if it fixes the bug.

Well AC 2 plays fine but a rage quit after failing to race the brother to the top of the church! 6 attempts and I still can't do it. the control system is so awkward compared to Syndicate.

If memory serves me right rage quitting is the probably the best way to exit AC1 because it takes an eon to save and exit to desktop if you follow the games normal path.

I set the res to 1920x1080 DSR 2x native res.

I don't think it looks any better do you? or any different from normal really.

Well after all the fuss I've only played it for 5mins haha, yeah it seems to play ok, I noticed my GPU temps don't rise much if at all ( 38c idle ) I f I were playing Syndicate I would have been straight up to 60c
