The zotac amp with a 5 year warranty is what i would choose and if you get it from overclockers they deal with return of the gpu within the 5 year period, but just check that to clarify.

All 1080s are the same. Grab the cheapest without reference cooler, and overclock it

Agree i have the Gainward which is basically the same card and the cooler on these things is excellent and it boosts to 2k too
Dont see the point in spending more.

The cheaper one has a notably lower boost speed - but if you can overclock it enough you may be able to match the more expensive one, in which case, certainly no difference worth £228 I think.

Are all the little components on the cards the same though? do the cheaper cards use cheaper parts that won't last as long?
All 1080s are indeed not equal. Apart from variable overclockability different makes can boost to different speeds.
Do you know what price and what speeds it will be?
Bit slower than a titan xp but not much. Probably £650-700 and the 1080 will drop nearer £500.
