Hi guys

im just deciding on getting a new pc and im really not sure between these 3

quad core or dual core
32 bit vista home premium or 64 bit vista home premium
2gb or 4gb

can you guys help me choose becuz i dont kno....::(

What will you be using the pc for?

1: Depends on your budget, but imo dual low end + overclock and you wont see much real world difference (gaming in particular) if your budget is tight. If not... go quad and overclock.
2: 64 bit - I see no point in getting 32bit vista
3: 2gb should do most people just fine, again... depends on budget and what you will be doing with your PC

surfin the net, listenin to music, watchin movies, burnin music/dvds, work(occasionally), msn,

i fink thts all really...i dnt really hav a tight budget but dnt wnt to spend a lot of money on stuff that wont be used to its full potential by me

thnx :)

for just that I would say a dual core would be fine, but with the price of the Q6600 I would also go for that, and 64 bit vista home premium with 4Gb or RAM, since your not playing games... if you do then 2gb and Windows XP

I'd go with Quad, 32-bit, 2Gb.

Quad is always going to be better than Duo unless there's price issues involved.

And really, the second and third choice are the same. 32-bit won't handle 4Gb, and there's not much point in 64-bit unless you're going for 4Gb. In principle 64-bit will run 64-bit apps better, in practice there aren't many about and going 64-bit means worse driver support (and worse still, a refusal to accept unsigned drivers) and inferior backward compatibility.
