So many USB Root Hubs??

My two side USB ports have stopped working and when I checked Device Manager I noticed there are seven Root Hubs listed under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers tab. Why so many?? Would this be the cause of my problem?

These are likely nothing more than all of the on-board controllers, built into your motherboard. Unless there's an ! there somewhere, it should be nothing of concern.
