... and doesn't the list of features sound like bits they probably chopped out of the 360 version because the couldn't finish it in time for release?

* Fully customizable controls - PC gamers can re-map the control scheme any way they like.
* Run & Gun Control - Players can assign biotic powers or skills to 'hot keys' allowing them to play Mass Effect with a heavier focus on action.
* New decryption mini-game.
* New inventory screen GUI and functionality - The enhanced inventory system makes it easier for players to equip and modify their weapons and armor.

I wonder if these bits get released as an update on Live.

I'll be honest and say that if my PC could handle it, I would buy the PC version. I feel a little dirty for saying that.

The first point can't really be a case of "They didn't have time to do it", as it would have taken no time at all to make the controls customisable.

Secondly, the "Run & Gun" system would be impossible on the 360, due to a simple lack of possible inputs. It's obvious to me that it is far more suited to a keyboard, and therefore is being implemented for the system that uses a keyboard.

That is the only decent thing missing, the inventory is wasted on the 360 far to many meaningless upgrades.

I'm more than happy with the 360 version, so I won't be batting an eyelid at the PC version.

Can't wait for this, I can play Mass Effect with a decent frame rate and probably no texture pop-up.

Yay, the frame rate severely annoyed me on the 360 to the point that I got rid of it.

Are they going to improve the 360 version's framerate? I got the game a while ago and was loving it. I'm at uni now and therefore cannot play it as it's all at home. The only things that got my goat were the textures loading late, the noise of my 360 loading the textures etc and the poor framerate, I thought the rest was excellent, especially the storyline.

The textures is a flaw of the Unreal 3 engine because we can't load/preload/cache textures locally on our 360 hard disks, so they have to be streamed off the dvd. The nature of the engine means that it loads textures last. Biochoc and Gears all had the same issues, using the same engine.

Come on its not about the pop ups its a stunning game non the less, typical PC gamer comment :p

You need to justify your £500 quad core sli x2 graphics card ;)

You notice in UT3 on the PS3 that when you install the game to the HDD (option) the game is much smoother and the amount of texture pop in is far less even to the point of never really noticing it, i guess its pretty much the same for both the PS3 and 360 then.
This was one game I would off got a 360 for to play, but i thought it would appear on the PC at some point so kept my money for GFX card. Think most people expected it to appear on the PC at some point, I thought it would have been a much longer time period between this and the 360 version though.

I could live with the pop ups but not the frame rate. ;)

Nah, don't need to justify anything it does that itself everytime I fire up TF2/UT3 at 1920x1080 with super smooth FPS. :)

I think the Inventory on it is great already?

Its ****. The menus to flick through and sell/upgrade equip for each character where so time consuming and irritating I didnt bother. I finished the game with pretty much the same equipment that I had 10% through the game.

Then again the combat was so easy amateur it really didn't matter. As i've said time and time before, anyone that thinks thats a good RPG should go back and play Kotor and ask yourself how they managed to go backwards after 4 or 5 years.
