So my 5900x is pretty toasty...

Installed it last night. I have a Swiftech X3 liquid cooler with 360mm radiator.

It idles at 47°C and under load it hits 90°C which seems about 10-20 degrees too high to me?

I can re-seat the plate, and I'm going to try topping up the reservoir and removing an air bubble I saw when the PC wasn't powered on but what sort of temperatures are other people getting?

Horizon Zero dawn menu it was at 90°C

When running the benchmark in that game though it actually dropped down to 75-80ish.

I topped up the reservoir with distilled water and am running the CPU-Z Stress test and it's maxed out at 78°C now after 5 mins.

I can live with that I guess.

mine idles around 46c and hits 70c when gaming but that was using only 30% of the cpu. im not looking forward to the summer

78°C was all 12 cores at 100% usage.

Its better now anyway.

Idle in BIOS is 37°C and doesn't really go above 80°C now under heavy load.

That's fine.
