Ex-Uni clearance machine that I sourced from an old friend. Minus a few scuffs and marks it's like nearly new!

I had originally planned to take it back to Uni with me for light tasks and development work but my old man seemed impressed by it so called shotgun on it to replace the ageing oversized tower I built them a few years back. Had a play on Tiger for all of 5 minutes before installing SL on it and now up and running beautifully. You'd never think it was a 5 year old machine.

That is pretty sweet! Might have to do a similar thing for my mum as she's had her eyes on my old mbp for a while now (and I want sandy bridge at some point).

Was it expensive?

It's a Late 2006 C2D model, specifically the last fully plastic iMac and the first to be fully compatible with Lion :)

Brother in law still has my old iMac, was the first intel iMac. Absolutely fine as it was when new! I kinda miss it, I liked the white design.

Enjoy!

I had the original Core Duo iMac, and while the graphics card was crap and the wifi was seriously buggy out of the box it was a great machine. Sold it to a mate for £450 a couple of years ago and it's still in use. I went back to PCs on the desktop after that though.
