No contact for at least 20 years, he turns up out of the blue, just says ‘I thought I should be friends with’my wife ’’ Anyway, so yeah fine good to see you mate, how are things, what’s going on

So I think the bloke came to visit after 20 years out of the blue to test the waters for some cash.

My wife is my wife, she is his sister, he has a wife of his own and two grown up daughters, he now has a grandchild, mother and child were apparently going to live in a shed in the garden.
They recently moved about 30 miles away from their home town where they previously lived since marrying, this is where both his parents, his other sister and her parents if they are still around live.

We got on ok 20 years ago and then couldn’t be arsed anymore.

He turns up wanting to be all brotherly and starts talking about all the expense he has going on and various troubles.

Pays one more visit for more of the same, then nothing for a few months.

I think he got wind that we inherited some stuff. I think he was hanging around his parents who are getting on hoping for some dosh and currying favour etc, but that has turned into a fruitless endeavour so we are now next on the list, or were, presumably his wife’s parents aren’t that well endowed either.
