Better of in the second hand market with that budget TBH.
With that CPU that pushes you to about £100.
Also you can upgrade in the future, but with that mobo you're very limited on overclocking if htat's what you'd want to do.
Personally I'd pick up a cheap socket 775 mobo for £30-odd and pick up a Q6600 for £50. Then save for a proper upgrade in the future.

The Q6600 performas about the same as a Pentium G620 even at stock, and they generally overclock nicely![]()
Sorry for bumping this peeps but I didn't want to make a new thread.
I have a new proposal!
What MoBo and CPU would you spec me if I could spend £107?
Thank you,
Billy![]()
Do you have DDR3 memory or DDR2? If you have DDR3 then I'd be tempted to go Pentium G620 at this point in time. A Z68 board would be nice if you could squeeze it into your budget too. This way, you only have to upgrade the CPU at a later date and you can have a fully overclockable 2500k. Although the H61/67 boards are cheaper, you don't have the overclocking capabilities of the Z68 which means if you wanted to go 2500k and have a go at overclocking in the future you'd need a new motherboard as well. All depends on what you can afford.
