So my computers a little screwy..

Every so often (say once every hour while moderately surfing) I go to change windows in IE and when I go to a page that has already been loaded it sometimes freezes for 30 secs and stays white and then suddenly loads it all up, but there isnt any Internet activity so its not downloading it.

I have updated all the IE items from Windows Update and still no joy and its been happening for a while now and driving me mad.

Now I dont think its my PC as its been on for the last 2d 5hr 17mins and I've had no other errors and I've been doing a fair bit;

D/L 0.9GB
Burnt 4 DVD's
Recorded 6 Hours of TV
Encoded 6hrs worth of DIVX
Played ~5rs of BF2
+ Other random bits

System is fully upto date with Mobo Drives GFX Drivers and Windows software (well it was 4 days ago..)

Temps are;
CPU Idle 29c Load 40c
OS HDD 30c

Specs;
3700+ SD 939
Gigabyte K8NF-9 Rev.2
2*1GB Geil ddr400
80GB Samsung Sata
X1800XT
Hiper 425w

Any ideas on test or what it could be?

Same with firefox and its done it for ages as in 3 months..

Does the PC freeze or just the page your trying to load?

PC slows down a lot as in I can move the mouse but openning or moving to other progs is lagging until IE/FF has sorted itself out

Try running a program called Ccleaner, it deletes all your temp files, cookies etc etc, might speed things up a touch.

Just make sure you go into the options and tell it to ignore all the things you want to keep.

i've had Ccleaner for a while now. good program but why is there a new version every 2 weeks :eek:
