Hello. So today i checked event viewer and i saw TDR log about display crash. LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys

Screen:

That was during DOOM. Game was not crashed, but event viewer report LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys.
Question. What part of pc is unstable now?
I dont oc my pc,all is stock.

6700K no OC ( good temps 60C )
16GB DDR4
Asus Z170-P
Corsair 750 RM
Gigabyte 1080 Xtreme ( NO OC ,stock clocks )

Currently i am on Windows 10 Anniversary and 368.69 drivers.

Memtest86 pass fine no errors. So gpu crashed and rma card now?

Beside that all of my games are stable, i can play GTA V no crashes, Heaven, 3dmark 11,13 stable.

If your games are running fine and not crashing, and Windows Event Viewer only shows an Information entry (as your screenshot shows), rather than an Error entry, then I honestly wouldn't give this a second thought. Just use your PC and enjoy it rather than stressing about it. Windows Event Viewer show loads of stuff happening in the background all the time, most of it means absolutely nothing to the user and is only useful to the developers of that particular program to see how it's running on that system.

If I have an issue, then I'll check Event Viewer for errors relevant to what I'm seeing, but other than that I never bother checking Event Viewer.

P.S. Congratulations on your tenth "My PC is malfunctioning - what part shall I RMA?" thread. :D

Today i checked event viewer and i saw entry: LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys and of course minidump file in Windows/Watchdog...

That was during DOOM in 02.10.2016 , i realize today about this when i found it.

I am worry because its minidump in Windows/Watchdog which mean hardware fault?

So why there is minidump then?

sometimes drivers can crash or cause/throw errors and have no link to system stability. It's happened to me with Dota 2 a lot on these nVidia drivers i rolled back because of it. I know it's not system stability because its the only game that would crash and its the least demanding game i play. Now ive rolled back i get no issue just it keeps capping its self to 60FPS everytime i ALT Tab out.

If you have no issues when playing games, experience no crashes and your system behaves OK, then don't look at the event viewer. Then only take notice of events you are interested in like error's

Just my view on it

I can ignore event viewer information entries sure. But i am worried because it make minidump in Watchdog folder, which mean TDR right?

That was 2 October 2016 , i was playing Doom. Game not crashed, was stable fps and no signs of any crash. But somehow event viewer raport LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys and make minidump. This mean hardware fault?

so ignore this
?

Event viewer always seems to have errors in there for me. I don't worry about it tbh. I very much doubt your card is unstable as it would show in games with artifacts or the game acting weird, crashing etc. Just a error in even viewer could be anything but personally i wouldn't worry about it unless if actually affects system stability.

Its like when some one has a cold and looks up the symptoms on the internet next thing you know they got small pox and are on their death bed.

If all of your games are playing fine and your having no crashes why are you even looking in event viewer?

Honestly it feels like you are simply looking for a problem and are doing anything to create one.

As long as your games are running fine keep event viewer closed and just enjoy what you have.

The OP reminds me of someone who is banned here who used to ask these type of questions all the time.

OP if your PC is playing games without problem, go and play some games.:)

So ignore that one single TDR crash in Doom ? ( even if game not throw me out )

Yes most would ignore. Even the most advanced overclockers would do this too despite your system being stock. You can try to RMA your card if you seriously are not happy but here is the heads up. You'll cause your self a lot of headache when they find nothing wrong with your card and they may charge you for delivery to send it back to you.

I was thinking that TDR is caused by unstable OC or faulty card. So thats why i am asking.
Also my card is on stock so on stock is unstable if crashed once?

I see this guy has been posting the same question on multiple forums :)

Even the global MSI moderator is threatening to ban OP because of all the ridiculous questions he keeps posting.

It's obvious that you have already made your mind up that you have a problem and your just asking for validation here which unfortunately you are not going to get.

If all your games are playing fine the card isnt unstable. Simple as.
