Unless the bloody wireless doesnt stop going on and off constant...

Its happened ever since I had the macbook, but was putting up with it, but seeing as I spent £949 on this, it had better start to work flawlessly!! :D

Looking on the net , seems this is a known issue with it - Ive had the unibody macbook since release, what do you think I should do with it - send it back to Apple?

Cheers :)

Do what I did, Phone them up and complain telling them you need this to be reliable. I did and I got moved from a WhiteBook to the model you and have then from that the the 2.4ghz unibody MacBook. It's worth a shot, you never know what could happen.

p.s try and talk to someone in customer relations.

Is the wireless actually switching off and on or is it dropping the connection?

If the latter, try switching your router to a different channel. My daughters Toshiba laptop used to keep dropping on and off of the network until I changed the router from channel 1 to channel 4 and that cured the problem.

me too jamal.. its frustrating when it does drop out. I have to wireless connections in my house and it doesn't matter which one you use!

speaking for myself the wireless icon in the topright goes blank i then click this and it says scanning.. after a while my available wireless networks come up

so its possibly a problem with crap routers (bebox for example used to drop ALL THE TIME till i changed), or the routers are interfering on the same channel...

had this setup for over a year and only recently got a macbook. On my pc and laptop this doesn't happen. If it happened on all of them i would agree with you !

Yep, my router is pretty good - and it only happens on my macbook - never used to happen to my other laptop, or my brothers xbox, or his laptop...

When you spend a grand, you expect the wireless to work dont you!! :(

Guys try unplugging it, and then take off the battery for a while.

See what happens then, perhaps also delete ur wireless profile and re-do it again.

Hope I'm not speaking too soon but I've got to be honest I've got my uni-body macbook and haven't had any of these problems maybe my wireless setup is why, I have the Apple Time Capsule with their built in wireless router could be a reason.
