Do I recently did a spec-me thread and bought a new rig
However the mobo has a 8+4 ATX power snd my current PSU (original Superflower Leadex) doesn’t have it
Replacement will be powering an AMD 7600x cooled with an AIO, and 6700xt

Currently looking at:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £150.49 (includes delivery: £10.50)

All other opinions welcome but please DO NOT spec Corsair; don’t trust them after having a few go pop worryingly quickly

Edit: it’s the EPS power at the top of the boatd
Also looking at cable extensions….

As above, your board will probably work fine without it, you can also get adapters, which are much cheaper than a PSU.

The Strix is a good choice, but it is based on the same platform as the Seasonic GX, EVGA G6 & Phanteks AMP, except they want rather a lot more for it. I'd just take whichever is the cheapest, unless you particularly like the ROG for some reason (it does have bigger heatsinks and a bigger fan, similar to the G6).

Personally, I find £140 too close to higher-end models to justify paying that.
Good to know!
Yeah for the sake of another £110 I’ll get a new PSU and some extensions
Just my luck that PSU cables are too short

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £165.48 (includes delivery: £10.50)

Many thanks

What PC spec did you end up buying?

Have you built and tried your old PSU yet?

If you are getting extension cables, can't see any cables not reaching.
AMD 7600x
Radeon 6700xt
EK AIO 240mm
2 and 1 tb m.2 drives

Whilst current PSU would probably do it, it’s several years old and getting conflicting reports whether to use both EPS connectors
