I like Chrome. It syncs all my bookmarks and stuff and I can use it on my work laptop without begging the IT hamsters to install it. Google's decided to kill it off properly now, and I'm not one for suffering ads, like I suspect most on here.

What are my options? Firefox is the obvious answer but a) can I get it to sync across all my devices and b) has anyone installed it on their work devices without any issues?

Any other options I'm missing?

Cheers!

I've got Firefox (and Chrome, but can't be arsed to use it as much now after this uBlock malarkey) installed on my work laptop and syncing across my other devices works just fine. You should be good!

Type "chrome:flags" in the address bar. Search for "Allow legacy extension manifest versions" and enable it.
Then follow the below guide:

Meh. Just the fact that Chrome is willing to do that, forcefully disable extensions it doesn't like, is a massive red flag for potentially worse shenanigans in the future. Switching to Firefox is the way to go if you want to keep your customisation IMO

I've got firefox on my work device, but it's an approved app so its ok.

Moved over to Brave lately, never going back to Chrome.
Brave's own internal ad blocker is pretty good.

Agreed. Also DeGoogled as much as I can for now, and working towards total annihilation. In the same bucket as Meta/Bookface for me now. I.e Dead.

Been using FF since the Phoenix days without issue. Also use it on my Dell work laptop equally the same. Just works.
