So Only a Week away now :D

I've had maxDSL since the start of the month and it's still not found a reliable sync speed. The connection keeps dropping in the evenings because it's synced too high. I know that's probably because of noise on the line but I expected it to sync at a lower speed each time the connection dropped but it's all over the place. It can drop at 6080kbps but reconnect at 7026kbps  I'm going to remove the bell wire from the BT master socket to see if that increases the SNR margin and stabilises the sync speed.

Edit: Just removed the bell wire and the SNR Margin has improved from 5dB to 11dB. It's still synced far too high, at 8128kbps, but the extra few dB should help in the evenings.

Crikey, I thought that your connection would have settled down after the 10 day "bedding-in" period!

I hope that doesn't happen with me as I'd rather stay on my current speed than have disconnection issues.
