So, PlayStation+, who's in?

Very interested as there's plenty of PSN games I would like to play just worried that you'll only get what your given and it will be either games I've got or rubbish I don't want.

Same here really. If it's as good as people are making out then it would be almost mad to not pay for it but I still think it seems a bit too good to be true. I think i'll wait untill they sell it to me:p

Think it could be ok value for people like myself who do seem to spend quite a bit of money on psn games etc. Will still wait and see. :)

If they give away games that are worth over £10-20 then psn plus pretty much pays for its self.

I would be surprised if they did that. It will probably be little games that you arent interested in playing. Saying that didnt someone mention that you couldnt play them again if you stopped your sub?

If that was the case then you could get a few nice games thrown out.

As I only play a few select games when I get the time I'm not that interested in few little games that I wont have time to play and the other features just dont offer anything that makes me want to sub to it.

That's a good point. I have some AAA rated games that I don't have enough time to play as it is. I've even had Heavy Rain sitting there for a couple of weeks unplayed:o I'm waiting untill I have a good 2-3 hours to start it off properly as it's obviously a game where the story is very important and playing it in 30 minute stints will spoil it. I daren't even buy Red Dead yet, not untill I've finished GTA stories.

Switched on the PS3 this morning and was greeted with a message asking me to approve a new PSN T&C.
Had a flick through it and it had a section about PS+, everything seems to be covered as reported, except that renewals are set to automatic by default and will charge your saved card, although this can be changed. Also, if you fail to renew then you MAY not get access to the games from your previous sub when you re-sub at a later date.

I'm guessing the latter problem of not renewing in time and then losing access when you do re-subscribe could probably be solved with a phonecall to CS, I'd be surprised if they just took the "oh well" approach to it.

Anyone going to sign up to the US PSN+ rather than the UK?

Qore is included in the subscription and demos sometimes come out earlier.

Do you still get LBP free on the 3 month subscription? I might try it for 3 months to see how it all pans out.

I just wish the EU store was a good as the US store.

Edit. Also the free game trial is this just for PSN/PS1/Minis or will you be able to download and try full retail games?

Hold the phone. Just noticed this bit and its got me alittle excited. Since my net connection gets capped after 6 pm, trying to download updates for games is a pain.. which means I can't really play older games that have a bunch of patches after 6pm. I have to wait untill the next day when I get my full speed internet back to download the patches. lol I have about 30 older games that I've never even put into my PS3. I am guessing these all have huge patches by now.

Automatic Downloading

With PSN + your PS3 will search through your game library and look for updates (patches) for your games and then download them with out having to pop the disc in for each and every game. (as they are available) This even works with PS3 Firmware updates so you never need to lift a finger.

Also you can schedule what time you want you PS3 to update if any ones are availabe

I dont really use my PS3 enough to really need it tbh, but i think its a good price compared to the other console (shudders) and i would happily play it if i start using it more.

It's scandalous that this is something they expect you to pay for. Everytime my girl asks to play LBP we're confronted by a big patch and it's a right pain.

Everytime you play? I don't think so.

Its scandalous microsoft expect you to pay to play online. Its a business, they have to make the money. In a perfect world, everything would be free.
