still not sure yet, tbh its the price of ddr4 ram putting me off at the mo i was hoping for a bundle with ram
I would have bought the 1700X if it came with the fabled "Wraith Max" stock cooler.
- 1700
- Asus X370 Prime
- Already have 16GB of 3000 & 16GB of 3200 memory to choose from.
I want to buy, seems a bit crazy (without more data) choosing between the offerings. DDR4 seems really pricey atm (SSD is covered) so my hand may well be forced downwards on the CPU to a 1700, especially as cooling is included. Without more detail of what the 1700X and 1800X brings to the party "real world" I'll probably sit out the first wave.
It might be a smart play to get the DDR4 earlier? Advice on best value ryzen friendly/tested ram would be great. I had my heart set on 2x16gb as a minimum, £300 seems so high though...
Why is memory tech on the up?
can someone please advise which Ryzen is best for gaming? I like to game at 4k resolutions with my gsync monitor and will be getting a 1080ti later this year.
thanks mate. About a month ago I nearly purchased an OC 4.8ghz i7 7700k Kaby Lake cpu. Is the Ryzen cpu more superior than the i7 7700k for gaming?
Gibbo, when is Ryzen going to be added to the PC Systems?
Also, can we get some more options to the Workstation builds. I'd like to add a decent motherboard and graphics card, and it's not easy to explain to my accountant, why my new business Workstation PC invoice has "Ulitmate Gaming, Extreme Overclocked, Uber PC" on it
what is msi rma like?
interesting, is that for the full 3 years?
