So... seen this? (LHC)

In context though, a machine that has taken literally decades to plan and construct and is pushing the very boundaries of science as we know it, I'm surprised it even works at all. The good news is it seems fixable, and a few months wait is nothing given the bigger picture. It doesn't help the machine has to warm up and down, and they like to switch it off during the winter months to save on electricity (which boggles my mind as much as the physics considering how much they've spent on it already!)

Sorry it has to be said...

How well do you think it could fold, perhaps we should suggest someones borgs it over winter seeing as there not going to be doing any LHC work :p

I don't know about folding but clearly they're planning to overclock it with all that liquid helium being used as a coolant.

Do OCUK sell liquid He cooling kit?

There already going to be travelling at nearly the speed of light, you reckon they'll get another 25% out of it?

I wonder what the difference between the stock vs OCed wattage would be :D

They have about 300 data centres around the world, large parts of which connected by private fibre. I'm guessing this is getting added to all the time.

So it should fold pretty well.
