So this is it!

I was trying to keep the cost down for the OP. He originally picked a £200 card so I was going for the closest card to that budget.

It's not personal bud, I started with the 7870 on offer as the best compromise between 7850 and 7950. Tammzy is infact suggesting the reference 7950 on another thread. As the OS is being ommitted there is cash "spare" to add into the GPU possibly.

The 670 is capable of outputting to 3 screens from the one card (can't do this on the older gen cards). You get cuda support, HDAO lighting, it uses less power and is just generally better than the 7950. If he is not interested in paying that much we all have given him alternatives to look into :)

haha honosuseri you are tempting fate mate!!!

ive always wanted a 670 but its just growing a set and going for it, but with the brilliant OS sugestion from earlier has made room for a better graphics card which tbh would be kinda future proof. i hope lol.

i get paid on thursday but can order at midnight on wednesday when up watching the liverpool match.

i will wait up and see what money is in the bank, im hoping for a big wage this month so the more i get the more i spend,

cheers for you input fire fly this will also be taken into consideration.

that was another thread! on the 900 quid budget thread! ;p
i did suggest the reference 7950 over a non-ref 7870 cuz for 10 quid extra,
yes even though the 7870 may oc as high as a ref 7950, and the ref 7950 may be louder and hotter
but any oc on the ref 7950 is bound to be better than an oc 7870 (and if one would be so unlucky to get a dud on the 7870, well lets not go there ;p)

im going to look and see how to install the windows 8. shouldnt be that hard.

Yeah looks good bud. Can't believe I forgot the mug! lol

You can burn the iso of windows 8 to a disk. If you google there is a software tool to "inject it" into a USB stick if you want to do it that way.

i had to put the mug in there. going to be some long hours of gaming to be done lol

i have convertxtodvd for my movies or will i just use windows media player?

VLC is a good free player bud, covers plenty of codecs and plays almost anything....it's available on smartphones now too whilst i think of it ;)

Convertxtodvd is to convert divx movie files and burn them to DVD disk. It's not a movie player.

ah right i will DL that now then.

i am going to deffo get that list this week, if i get as much as i think im going then worst case scenario is leave the hhd out.
