Then there'll be a 500w PSU and DVD and wifi etc etc..

But how about the memory. (Actually this is a build for a friend who insists on 32gb RAM)
Do I need to get quad channel?
Or can I just get like 2 sets of Dual Channel... or hell... even 4 sets of single channel?

Cheers

1 x Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM £269.99
1 x MSI Z77A-G45 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £89.99
1 x MSI HD 7750 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £71.99
1 x Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £19.99
Total : £463.36 (includes shipping : £9.50).

yes it will work, but no he only needs dual channel, 4 DIMM's so 4 X 8gb kit, so 2 16gb kits

2 x GeIL Black Dragon 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (GD316GB1600C11DC) **OcUK Exclusive** £89.99 (£179.98)
Total : £189.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).

you could get this set and use them as 2 sets of dual, bit quicker for same money,

1 x GeIL EVO Leggera 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz Quad Channel Kit (GEL332GB1866C10QC) £179.99
Total : £189.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

as m/b of choice doesn't support quad channel so will work as a pair of dual only

just another option for you to think on,

1 x Intel Core i7-3820 3.60GHz (Sandybridge-E) Socket LGA2011 Processor - OEM £235.99
1 x Gigabyte X79-UD3 Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard £179.99
1 x GeIL EVO Leggera 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz Quad Channel Kit (GEL332GB1866C10QC) £179.99
1 x MSI HD 7750 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £71.99
1 x Phanteks PH-TC12DX CPU Cooler - Silver (Socket 775 / 1150 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £39.98
Total : £719.34 (includes shipping : £9.50).

m/b and cpu as quick but cheaper, using quad channel ram, same price and a cooler for you to have another think on, maybe

Has he told you what he wants the build for?

Only because 32gb ram is a big overkill. 16gb is more than enough, then use the saved budget on a better GFX?

MASSIVE Audio creation and production and Video editing.
But there's a tight budget.... I'm set on that specific build, but just wanted to know what memory for 4 slots.
But ok.... 2 sets of dual it is !! :)

The reviews of the Freezer 7 Pro seem decent for the price.
I'm not expecting it to run at like 40 degrees under load or anything, but I'll settle for the mid 70's :D
