So anyone else had this pop up in their area?

People around here seem to be in meltdown over it. I just think it's some silly fad going round at the minute that will soon become out of date and uncool.

Thoughts? I know originally it was thought it was some sort of viral marketing in the US for the new It film, maybe people have just latched onto it and will ruin it.

Somebody will end up getting hurt.. and a concerned mother or two will be interviewed on GMTV. Followed by a silhouette interview video of a professional victim in their home telling a horrific story of being chased by a murderous clown.

Sad that people are so concerned with this **** just as we are the closest to world war three as we have been since 1989

A complete media circus!

Are you kidding? 1989 was the year the Berlin Wall came down and the Cold War ended. We were further away from WWIII in 1989 than we had been for decades.

The closest we ever came to WWIII was 1962, with the Cuban Missile Crisis. The current state of affairs doesn't even compare to that.

Seems to be going crazy around here - at first I think it was just people thinking it funny to warn about it but now some have taken to jumping people for a laugh as clowns - won't be long until someone gets seriously hurt - already had the police involved due to atleast one incident.

Russia provocatively moving missiles around and talking about re-opening cold war bases in positions that would exacerbate the situation and now vague wording about "a nuclear event" - I don't think we are far off comparing to that. Infact it is people not taking it seriously that is more dangerous if anything.

It wasnt cool to begin with .

Police have warned people if they are approached by clowns in a car that they should under no circumstances open the door

As it will fall off, then the bonnet will fly open, a horn will honk and the exhaust will backfire a few times

I can see someone getting seriously hurt and it actually being one of the muppets dressed as a clown.
