This may be the wrong section but this is hard for me to find the correct one as I am typing this from my phone, so if you could answer anyway it would be greatly appreciated :)

I ordered a Desktop PC from here on tuesday, and it was sent out at 10am on Friday afternoon. A man on the phone a few days before said it should arrive on saturday but another person said monday. I'm not too bothered by the days,

but the question i'm asking is, what are the different delivery steps, I assume it was sent from England, and I live in Northern Ireland and the delivery now says on the tracking page

"Your parcel has been received at our sortation hub".

Would that mean it is in my country or what? xD
And would you reckon there's any chance it could arrive saturday (which is technically today since it's after 12)

Thanks!

If you didnt specifically select a weekend delivery I would expect it to arrive Monday.

As for where your current PC is, it will be at a large sorting station in England closest to OCUK and will be put in a big metal cage/pallet ready to ship/fly to Ireland possibly tonight, there it will go to a more local depot to yourself and then be placed on one of many vans going to specific areas depending on postcode along with other packages for that area the van will be in.

Its DPD two days, so if its sent on friday you will probably recieve it on either monday or tuesday, Probably monday but DPD are quite good

The online thing is a lot of garbage, imo, it just says its been recieved but doesnt give any more info, of you click more detail it usually starts at hub 3 and then goes to hub 1, and then appears as out for delivery, not much detail so don't go by the online tracker as it isn't that good.

From the sortation hub it has to be sent to the local depot and then from there to yourself.

If you follow the tracking information it should say where the sortation hub is located.

If it's still on the mainland then it's unlikely to reach you tomorrow.

Check the tracking information again later this morning.

Thanks for the response.
Do DPD do shipping and traveling overnight?

To be honest it could be on its way to Ireland either now/soon or Saturday night(technically tonight:D) It could be sorted into a cage tomorrow(saturday/today) or Sunday ready for a Monday delivery

Thanks all, yeah it says it's at hub 3 since 20:33 friday evening.

Oh well, i'll still hold out hope for the off chance of it coming tomorrow afternoon xD

Assuming the hub numbers are consistent then Hub 3 is in Birmingham so I wouldn't hold out too much hope.

The tracking will update as soon as its received at the next destination which will be somewhere in Ireland. Until then it will always say its at Hub3

No it won't all it will say is that it's out for Delivery, so don't worry if early on Monday it still says hub 1, their site updates circa 9AM so check then. :)

No it wont.

Last time I had something sent from OCUK it said the HUB on one day and then a day later was updated to say it was at the Bristol depot. Then the next day in the morning it said it was on a VAN for delivery with a ETA given.
