Funnily enough after uming and ahing about getting an ipod classic I have "won" an ipod touch 32GB. What I want to know is should I sell it and buy a large GB classic or do the extra features make it worthwhile on its own (i.e. What can you do with it as someone who's never used a PDA and owns an ancient nokia 6310)? Also, can memory cards etc be used to bump up the storage space?

Cheers,
Kreeeee

AFAIK theres no memory storage bumpage with the touch, thats only on the iPhones.

The touch is worth it, especially the 32GB version. I have the 8GB and wouldnt swap it for a larger capacity normal model. Its too nice to use.

I'd stick with the 32GB that you've won, I've had an 8GB touch and I've now got a 16GB iPhone and to be honest I wouldn't be without either now.
After all 32GB is a shed load of music and video thats enough for two weeks in sunny Spain by my reckoning :) The touch interface is great you'll really enjoy it.

It is definitely worth keeping the iPod Touch now that the App Store along with the 2.0 firmware is being released on the 11th July.

There's so much you can with it. Browse the internet, download games/apps (after 11th) and some of the games look amazing, emails, calenders, videos etc.

http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/appstore/ have a look here to see a few apps and information about them.

Also, how did you win it?

No iPods or iPhones have the ability to increase the memory.

Soz for interrupting this thread but does the ipod touch come with the calendar application with it or do we have to buy it throught the app store?

I came in the top 10 in my year at the University of Bristol for Computer Science (The same way Matt Gaunt is getting his :p), penultimate year (courtesy of Netcraft).

Thanks for all the advice guys, I'm looking forward to it now :)

Well after using it for a few days I don't think I could do without it now...

Wanted a PDA/mp3 player for so long and this is so much more, thanks again :)

Glad you like it, they're excellent little things!

Do you have the 2.0 firmware on it yet?

Can't DL it, store is unavailable. I really want the remote control feature for itunes.

It's definitely the little things. Browsing ocuk while watching a crappy film with flatmates and being able to consolidate all my email accounts are particularly useful. Train journeys and walking places are no longer a chore :D
