Are the PSWii360's still considered "next gen"?

Aren't the Wii and the 360 mainstream enough now for them to be considered current gen? Hasn't the PS3 been out long enough for it to be considered current gen? I do realise we had the PS3 release later than the ROW.

Surely next gen would now be the PS4, Xbox 720 and the Nintendo Vomit?

You're quite right though I think the general gaming press will only move over away from the next gen monicker once MS/Sony/Nintendo actually announce said next consoles.

The release doesn't have a lot to do with it, it's its market competition. They've been out for upto 2 1/4 years, the PS3 being 18 months, but as they're all competing for the same market against each other you'd have to consider them all 'current generation'. If truth be told, the second they were released they were 'current generation', it was nothing more than a media moniker to label them 'next-gen'.

6. but trading in the 360 had enough of it allways breaking and the noise. Sold my wii as the novalty didnt last long.

Of the next gen consoles, i only have a ps3. I am seriously thinking about getting a 360 as well though now with the price drop.. that and fable 2 :D

I think the label 'Next Gen' as hung around longer because of the amount of consoles available on the market. The PS2 is still going strong and then there's the DS and PSP as well.
