Hello all, I beleive my Asus P5E x38 mb has kicked the bucket quite hard. Turned it on this morning and the thing was powering on for 5 seconds (fans spin up, no beep codes or post or anything) powering down, then repeating the process after 5 seconds.
Tried the normal malarky of cmos reset, remove battery, reseat heatsink etc etc and it then worked (got the checksum error thingy, went into bios and set it all up as normal)
Powered down, then powered on and my 4850 then decided to keep its shiny red error leds on, with again fans spinning, nothing on screen BUT it didn't power down. Tried graphics card in both slots and same thing. Another cmos reset and still nothing. At all times, when my mb has been received the green LED has stayed on....
My mate who I can test my 4850 on is on holiday I think for another week, but what do you lot think it is?? Hopefully not both :-S
P.S Other specs are e8400 @ stock with a huge tuniq tower on it, 2x 2gb Kingston PC8500 ram, 1 x WD 750gb hard drive and a corsair 520w modular psu.
