So what's better, Intel 965p or 975x for conroe?

I'm confused by these different chip sets?

Which is better, some people are telling me the 965 is newer, but why then is it cheaper.

Others are telling me to go for a 975 board.

Which one is better for me? I'm ordering a E6700 conroe by the way.

Ok, if so. Which board will be better for me? The DFI or the Asus P5W-DH?

I need one one PCIe 16x slot for my x1900xt , 2 pci slots for another network card and sound card and PCIe 1x for a TV card (I'm under the impression I can use a 4x PCIe slot for this aswell).

I'm not interested in overclocking yet, but maybe in the near future.

If i owned a 6700 chip, i`d go for the asus, but newer boards are due shortly, so it may be wise to hold on if your in no real rush.

How soon? I was going to order at 21:00 tonight.

I was just wondering what was wrong with the gigabyte DS4? It looks like a good board but what about the memory problems?

I would say P5W DH. Nice board with X fire support. I use a DS4 for my 6300 and a P5W for my 6600. Both nice boards
