Quite an interesting feature of Vista, a 'simple' way of expressing your PC's performance! I imagine this number will start being printed on software boxes, eg 'This software requires a WEI of 3 or higher', better for some people than complex acronyms and jargon 
So, my WEI is 4.0, consisting of:
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ = 4.1
1Gb Corsair Value = 4.0
ATI Radeon X1800XT = 5.9
'Gaming Graphics' = 5.8
Seagate 80Gb IDE = 5.2
