Another University thread but this time in more detail about how people are feeling towards it, when people are going, whether they are prepared etc. :)

I move in on sunday the 16th of September...getting a bit "Oh my god" at the moment as it's starting to hit
me. :eek:

I have a rough idea about what to take - probably dig up my old thread about what what to take but it's just so daunting...

Prepared? As yet, um no.

They won't let us go any earlier than 22nd September or else I'd be off like a shot. Still got lots of things to flog on fleabay to try and claw some beer money together. Really looking forward to it. Can't wait to finish work and start a new chapter in life.
 
16th of September too, although all of my friends leave the week later, I can't wait, not sure whether I should patch things up with an ex-gf beforehand so at least I know someone else there when I go. haha, great...:p
 
Jeez, that sounds early.
I'm sure when I went to uni I didn't move in until the very end of September.

There's a good thread around somewhere about the things to take to uni, would be worthwhile searching for it.

(And on the off chance that anyone is in room A16 in Cripps Hall, University of Nottingham look out for my name scratched into the wardrobe for 1998/99 :p )

1st years go back on the 24th here at Notts, this year.
 
Good luck guys :D I have another year left at 6th form before i'm off to uni. Not even decided where i'm going yet :P
 
I believe Freshers Week starts on the 1st of October at Soton Uni... so i'll be headed back down on the last weekend of September.

3rd year.. last year.. its been great.. but dissertation time.. ouch.. not really even decided on what to do.
 
What kinds of techno-gadgety things are you all taking? At the moment I have my laptop, speakers, Ninteno DS and thinking of getting a digicam to record those precious drunken antics.
 
Take hardly anything. I took everything in my first two years and rarely use hardly any of it. I used my laptop, amp and speakers. Often my bass guitar too. Our 360 was used... once every few weeks. In halls we were often out and in our house we just spent time together. My housemate and I started playing BF2 though during exam period :S
