I have a aluminium macbook, and want something ultra portable that will be able to do general net browsing and play the odd few games - hence why the 9400m will come in handy.

Im in the navy doing phase 2 training, and space is an issue as it will be in the fleet, so I think it will be a good idea.

Obviously been a bit busy over the past few months, so have gone out the loop a bit when it comes to technology, so havnt a clue when they are due to be released.

Had a look around, and no certain dates. Also what price point we looking at?

Another question, is there a new atom cpu coming out also? Would be good to get a netbook with the new ion platform and new atom cpu :)

With any joy, they will come out in August time ish, so I can pick one up during my leave.

Seems like the earliest release will be the Samsung N510, which, if rumours are to be believed, has a release date of around August.

The only other ION netbook I've heard about is the Lenovo S12, but that's been delayed until October or so I read somewhere.

Both of the above have ~12" screens, though the Samsung is 16:9 1366x768 and the Lenovo will be 16:10 1280*800.
 
So you want to buy a 400 quid netbook with a crap cpu and screen when you've already spent more than double that on a more capable laptop.
