LG was supposed to come out with the what was it called the DM93 or something. Asus talked about a new IPS but heard that will be a bit still.
I have some dough set aside for a beaut and am waiting ... err patiently

anyone have any info on any interesting IPS monitors coming out? ... sort of interested in the hazro wc but a bit tiffed about the 100pound price increase from last year so wanted to see what others have.

Not yet...quote from tftcentral.co.uk regarding LG new panels:

"LM270WQ3 - A follow up to the 27" Q1 (W-LED) and Q2 (WCG-CCFL) modules already used in popular displays like the Dell U2711, Apple 27" Cinema Display, Hazro HZ27 series. This module is listed as AH-IPS and will offer a 2560 x 1440 resolution like the previous 27" parts. Again it is labelled as Adobe RGB so we will see how that unfolds. The new modules is scheduled to be in production in Q2 of 2012 at the moment"

I think he's talking about different things here.

The ASUS he's talking about afaik uses the same panel as the Hazro's/HP/Fujitsu/Macs etc. The LG DM92 was supposed to have a new panel with 1920x1080 resolution and should have been out by now. What happened to it... no idea, you could try mailing LG if anyone knows it would be them after all.

I hope my pessimism stemming from LG's lack of communication with me on the 92 wasn't actually for good reason. I'm sure I threw the phrase 'vaporware' into the thread, hoping that wasn't the case.

I want these screens to come out now :(

I am hoping that these will mean replacing my current dual screen setup with just one single, all-round awesome screen.... Question is, could I go back to 1920x1080 for desktop?
