Just wondering what your thoughts are ? every time I watch a movie at the cinema it makes makes me think how cool it would be to game in 3D but am not sure how good it is,

Anyone 3D via projector as thats the root I would go if I went for it

:)

Played Doom 3 in 3D at Eurogamer. Quickly disabled it. Pointless, hard to see and headache inducing. If a game/film needs to use 3D to immerse you, it's not doing its job. In my opinion anyway.

I played killzone, gow 3 and wipeout in 3d so far. Was ok...

wipeout is kinda pointless because you're always looking at the track ahead and not at all the cool 3d stuff or your ship.

killzone was ok too but I didn't play too much in 3d because I had already completed it.

gow didn't seem that good either.

I did for a couple of years, had an Acer H3560 and 3D vision. It does make the game quite a bit harder but it's much more fun. Metro 2033 was a highlight, pooped my pants a few times. There's no way I'd play a multiplayer fps with it on though, which is mostly what I play now.

Sold it when I switched over to AMD for a while. Now back to Nvidia, but I don't think I'll bother with it due to the type of game I play now a days.

I never used it even when I had a 3D monitor. I like it for 3D films, and some games look stunning in 3D, but I found everything was just too dark, the glasses were uncomfortable for more than about 30 minutes, and I got a headache trying to focus on things. I couldn't see myself using it even with those problems solved, so I upgraded to a Dell U2711 from an Asus VG236H. I don't regret it one bit. I don't even miss the 120Hz refresh rate.
