I myself do plenty of cross country and long distance running for my university. Just got back from the cross country championships in Wales (7 hour bus journey...) and I think I've left my thighs there. It was one of the most painful races I've ever experienced!

So does anyone else do anything to keep fit?

I walk down the office to the canteen for numerous cups of tea - does that count? :p

Realistically - am usually out on my mountain bike at least twice a week

I did X-country like yourself for a few years when I was younger - I regret stopping now. These days my excersise involves walking to the train station/car/bus stop, I tried joining a gym a few months ago but I couldn't motivate myself to keep going.

used to do martial arts and gym twice a week and lots and lots of football until a guy in my martial arts class done a very good kick to my leg. it hasnt been the same since and running is difficult but I do go to the gym

3 mile walk and 3 back to work

I do weigh a lot but yet not fat (15st and 5ft11)

Could use the car and will when its really ******* it..

Lugging a 20 kg disabled child here there and everywhere, plus his equipment and im only 5ft 2, does that count? :D
