hey guys,

after watching AMD's livestream, im going to get a full AMD system (AMD CPU and GPU) and would like to know what you guys think of it, not looking for a review, more of a personal thought and what the pro's and cons are with the CPU

i dont bench at all, just overclock and get it stable and PLAY PLAY PLAY!! :D
i wont the best performance i can get in the new RTS and FPS games without breaking the bank.

also seems games on frostbite 3 will be using all 8 cores.
 
I like underdog's - who doesn't?

I would not purchase the flagship CPU though when you could grab a 83x0 and overclock it to similar performance levels.

Off topic slightly but sticking to your livestream mention, I enjoyed it sheerly for the wise comments and meme's etc, had me chuckling and made it much more fun (best weekday evening in for a long time)!

If you want the best performance for rts do not go amd.
You have an i5, in games you're going to get generally worse performance.
When the R9 gets reviewed, it won't be on amd systems, that's by design.

i know a of a couple of people who got them when they came down under £300. one of them has a 360X360 rad just to cool the cpu. he has the rad mounted on the wall.
