So yeah, how does multiquote work?

Sometimes I'd like to quote multiple people in one thread but address each point separately. Is this what multiquote does or is it for something else? At the moment I copy paste and self-insert the username in the quote tag which is (1) annoying as **** and (2) annoying as ****.

So yes, I'm simple. Someone care to explain?

Right, so I click the multi+ on the actual posts I want to respond to? That's really quite clever (also, I'm not apparently).
