Hey guys, I'm stuck and I would love for you guys to help me. I'm currently running a water cooled Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX. I've had this card for a while now and its a good card but it doesn't seem to run games as smooth as it did before. The reason being is because I just got my brand new monitor which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I can run swtor (Star Wars: The Old Republic) at low with 20-40 fps on low with no shadows. In warzones i'll reach 15 at max, and this is an issue since im a regular swtor gamer.

So, this is why I need your guys help. I'm looking to upgrade but I only have £100 to spend. I've looked around and I've narrowed it down to 2 GPU's.

ATI Radeon 6850 HD or Nvidia Geforce 550TI/560 possibly the 570 if I can get it cheap.

So I was wondering would any of these cards make my gaming much better, or should I get a different card which would make it much better.

Also, considering this I have an AMD Opteron as a processor, so I MIGHT possibly upgrade that instead depending on your guys excellent advice :D

Thank you so much if you can reply to this, cheers!

5850/5870 is better than a 6850?

And the 460 is better than a 560?

If so, then thank you I'll take these into consideration.

EDIT: Thank you, I've looked at a couple of reviews and both of them upgraded from 8800 GTX to the 460 GTX and they said they was amazed so I'll buy this card superclocked, thank you!

5870 is on par with the 6870 and faster than the 6850
560 is better than the 460
