Was looking for a new football management game and with (Sega) FM2017 no longer available on Steam and FM2019 still a tad pricey at over £35, my eye was drawn to the above.

However have to ask - what's the catch?

A brand new free to play game immediately has me thinking loot boxes and premium currency, along the lines of the tablet games. What's the manager experience like - is it solo play or are you competing against a bunch of 12 year olds from Mumbai? Does it have a decent match animation and are the results realistic, i.e. you won't see Darlington beating MUFC 6-0!

Thanks.

Okay - tried it, binned it.

Essentially it's a tablet game on the PC. Very limited what you can do with your team, presumably until you level up. Match graphics not that good either - 90% just look like little ants scurrying everywhere. Very basic in game tactical options. Not in the same league (!) as Sega's FM.

There are times when I wish EA had continued with their FIFA Manager series. Okay you had to deal with triv like how much to charge for fish and chips or buying your wife a yacht, but I always enjoyed it.
