Hi,
I built a pc last year and recently upgraded to sli.
I've got an matx Asus Gene V but am looking to upgrade to a full atx board because I'm suffering with heat issues with my current set up. I think this is because of the proximity of the 2 msi power edition 670s and the CPU fan meaning that the top GPU fan is working very hard. Temp differential is -85c top gpu and 57c bottom when both under load and I've tried swapping the cards etc.
As such can someone recommend me a replacement motherboard to go with my i5 3570k? If you don't think a switch to a full will help can you let me know as perhaps I should also look at water cooling as an option.
Thanks, Elliot

Oh really? I thought the gpu's throttled back at 80c? Get pretty decent 3d scores so not really worried about that but was thinking of changing for two reasons. First because the fans can be very noisy and secondly because I'm worried about reducing the life span of the components if operating at those temps.

I have a next 410 phantom mid case, removed the hdd cage and 2 fans blowing in top, 1 in side, 2 out top & 1 out rear top so have plenty of airflow but think a large CPU fan blocks air to top gpu and tiny gap between gpus with the matx mb means that top card only sucks in hot air from below.

Other option is to ignore noise and heat (as I'm happy with the performance) and upgrade to has wells replacement with a new CPU in a year or so? Bit of a dilemma and as was my first build bit disappointing that in hindsight know could have been better!

All help and advise much appreciated.
