i have a motherboard already with a 1156 socket, i dont have the funds to change the board so i'm looking at buying a second hand cpu as the prices of this socket are stupid now. i have noticed that the i7's for this socket are around the same price, but i was just wondering wich ones are better at overclocking.
could someone be able to list the i7 and i5s in prefance order for me and also a rough clock speed of each

There is a k version of the 1156 i7 (875k) and this has the multi unlocked so if you can get it cheap get that otherwise just get an i5 760.
I had an i7 860 and it was a right pain to OC but that might have just been mine because I haven't heard any other complaints.:)

My i7 860 is definitely a beast of an overclocker, got mine sat at 4.4, can push up to 4.6 or possibly higher for benchies like superpi, and managed to get mine for 187 quid off of OCUK :)

the i7 875k i was looking at went for far to much, about £180. I have just bought an i7 860 for £115 delivered though:)
cant wait to get it up and running

4ghz should be easy for this chip, hoping for more like 4.5ghz will have to see though as it will be my first oc and i dont wanna damage it:)
