Socket 1366 Phase Change Cooling

Sorry for the bump, but I've been looking for a phase change unit as well. I live in the US, but I came across this thread from some google searches. I'm not sure if you already bought the phase change unit or not, but: The Prometia Mach II GT does not support 1366 sockets. Cooler express does, as you probably read.

I'm using the same board and processor as you, so I think we can relate. What I plan on using is corona dope. I am coating the whole backside of the motherboard (except for where heating element is), and only the area around the CPU socket on the front, as to not alter the appearance too much. Then coat the whole CPU socket with dielectric grease, as to not let any air flow in the socket, and then use silicone rubber sealant to seal off the edges of the socket, and the heating unit behind the board. I would then install the rest of the insulation that came with the cooler express, and maybe add some putty on the surrounding area of the CPU for an air-tight seal.

The only thing I worry about is the way the cooler express will fit board.

I'm 100% sure of coating the back of the board (except on heating element) with corona dope. Makes it waterproof. I will most likely use seal string and silicone sealant to make the Hermetic cell

If you're worried about temperature fluctuations, the answer is a large reservoir, not radiators. A radiator in series with the chiller only makes sense if you don't want it to go below ambient, as once it does the radiator will pull in heat from outside for the chiller to deal with. That's not an efficient set up.

Corona dope looks promising, cheers for the keywords.

I know it's a chiller, but that still seems wrong to me - how can the cooling capacity be greater than the power used but such a large margin? Surely if it's relying that heavily on the Radiator to bulk up the cooling capacity, then the chiller part is all but redundant and you won't get decent (sub-ambient) temps - which begs the question, why bother?

Edit: Andy - what head you got on the LS - don't recognise it?
