Hi there
I am just about to order an i9 12900k along with a Bequiet Dark rock pro 4. I have seen reviews of people testing it with this CPU but the listing doesnt say its compatible with s1700. Can any one confirm if it fits please?

Just got a reply from Bequiet and I have to get the bracket from them that can take 2 weeks

From what I understand, some boards (mainly ASUS) have both mounting points, but it only works without a bracket if you can adjust the cooler to make proper contact.
 
Ah ok interesting. I’ve gone with an Asus strix. Changer the cooler to Noctua d15s and ordered the bracket for it. Either way I should be able to get it to work lol.
