Socket 2011 "not compatible" with Win 10 - looking for solution

Advice sought, please.
In late 2013 I ordered from OC and built what was then a very quick machine:
Asus P9X79-WS motherboard, i7 4960X (Ivybridge) Socket LGA2011
with 64 GB Kingston HyperX (8 x 8GB) 1600 MHz Quad channel and a Corsair cooler for the CPU.

That has been a rock-steady Windows 7 machine for my work since then.
I came to update the OS to Windows 10, only to be told by Asus that the P9X79-WS mb is "not compatible" with Windows 10 but they can't/won't tell me what exactly is the incompatibility and, to be honest, it seems to be running fine. But I'm worried that a Wicrosoft update could make it unreliable.

Having spent a small fortune on the CPU and 64 GB memory, I am loathe to spend out again though I recognise the i7 CPUs will have moved on since the Socket 2011 days. However, canyone point me to a motherboard which *is* Windows 10 compatible and either will take a newer CPU but let me keep using my 64 GB of memory or even one which will take the Socket 2011 CPU and memory as it is?

Advice/recommendations gratefully received.

8-pack, yes it does seem to be working fine but I am concerned that if/as/when Microsoft do yet another update, something might fail.
Divinell, thanks for the suggestion of the Pro or Deluxe alternatives. I had seen the list that you linked me to but hadn't spotted the P9X79 options right at the bottom! If I can get hold of one of those then I will sleep a little more soundly.

Good to know, thank you. I have managed to find a P9X79 Pro on ebay for a very reasonable price so will keep that as an insurance fall-back!
