Socket 370 Heatsink Question

I've been looking for a couple of S370 Heatsinks, but there aren't many choices, I remember reading somewhere that the Socket A heatsinks will fit S370.

Is this the case with all soket A heatsinks or just a select few?

Yup socket A HSF will fit socket 370 no problem

Socket A, 7 and 370 heatsinks will all fit one each sockets.

Just be weary of connecting heatsinks with a strong 'grip' on the socket clips that hold the heatsink - I've had one snap on my before.

hmm it might not be before my time as much as you think, was it the socket that held intel's 386 and 486 dx and fx chips? we had a pc with a 386 we upgraded to 486 back when i was about 4 hehe, bear in mind i actually used it at that age XD.

no, socket 370 was P3's. Which also came in slot 1 flavours.

amds answer was socket A or slot a (not many of them about tho)

ahh THOSE sockets . lol theyre bloomin weird. p3 cpu's look like bricks more than chips if you ask me XD.
