Lo guys

I have an old P4 Socket 478 pc and I'm going to turn it into a media centre, the Cpu cooler is the intel one that was fitted when I bought the machine and sounds like a hurricane so I would like to change it but not sure what would be best.

I will be using the Antec Fusion case

Motherboard, memory, graphics all sorted its just the dam cpu cooler I am unsure off.

This is a very good cpu cooler and fits the 478 socket.

LOL £32 heatsink that he probably wont use on another machine!

This will do the job and its the cheapest OcUK stock: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-016-AR&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=821 its meant to be quiet but if its still not quiet enough for you put a resitor cable/fan mate on it :)

<edit> Exibit if that is to big to then it might help if you say what sort of case your using and if you need a low profile CPU cooler then I think you will need to look elsewhere.

I have the Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU in an Antec Aria case. It cools my X2 3800+ very well and is low profile and extremely quiet although I have the fan controlled by the motherboard so not sure how loud it is at full speed.
