socket 478 pentium 4

Hi

Is it still possible to buy the above?

I was waiting till the new technology (775) was well into production and use so that I could pick up a bargain on a socket 478 pentium to upgrade my existing celeron. However I can't seem to find any.

You can but not many about, the price reductions were on LGA775.

Yes i noticed.

Socket 478's hardly dropped in price for months then just dissappeared. Does no-one offer end of line discounts these days!

Can pick up a decent 775 for around £60 quid now. 3 months back an equivelant 478 was still £110.
