I am repairing a S604 based computer.
It looks as if someone has tried to remove the 2nd cpu without releasing the ZIF arm as loads of pins are stuck in the socket and there is some brown tarnishing to the actual socket.
I am trying to remove the 1st CPU but cannot figure out how to remove the heatsink. The heatsink is an official Intel job, aluminium and copper construction.
It seems to be attached by a retention bar at each end, how do I remove these?
I will require some more advice but will save that for later
