Socket 775 Chipsets ?

Can some1 briefly explain or point me in the right direction (another thread) that can explain to me which chipset i should go for in my new rig im planning ?

im looking at getting ;

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

and wish to use 2x 8800 GTS 640MB Gfx Cards in SLI

from *** i can see. i have the choice of intel 975X, 965P, Nforce 680, 650 ? .... im confused.

this will b the 2nd system ive built for myself and will also look in to overclocking. any advice would b great.

If you are looking at SLI then you want a mobo with 680i SLI, 680i LT SLI, 650i SLI or Asus do a mobo with a hybrid 650i SLI/570 SLI chipset (the P5N32-E SLI)

so the intel chipsets mentioned dont support SLI ? straightens that out then if thats the case

only the nVidia chipset currently supports SLI and I think the intel ones can support Crossfire natively/with hacked bios, I forgot which.
