I'm really kicking myself for never getting a decent 775 DDR2 mobo when they were still around. At the moment I don't see much point in upgrading to i5/i7 when I have a perfectly good Q6600 that I have yet to overclock. As it stands now, it does everything perfectly ok, would just like to get that bit extra from it and have a safe overclock.

Trouble is, I can't imagine my current mobo, a budget Asus P5B, to be up to much. On top of that, it is nigh upon impossible to find decent performance 775 DDR2 boards for sale now. There is the chance that I could pick one up off someone selling off their old components in the Members Market, but I only have 160 posts :p

What do you denizens of OcUK feel I should do? Ideally, I'm not looking to spend too much, so I'm not as inclined towards a full refresh of the PC, but if my quest to find a good spec 775 is never going to be resolved, then its an option I'll have to consider.

TL;DR:- rubbish 775 board, want new one to maek Q6600 gud, wat do

Fair enough, I'll give it a shot with overclocking with the P5B for the meantime.

By the time I post enough to access the MM, I'll probably be wanting to get an i5 :p
